Chandrayaan-2, India's second ambitious mission on the moon, will be launched from here on Monday through the most powerful rocket GSLV-Mark III-M1.


Delhi: India's second ambitious mission Chandrayaan-2 will be launched on Monday by the most powerful Rocket GSLV-Mark III-M1 from here. The launch of Chandrayaan-2 from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Center, about 100 km from Chennai, will be launched on two-and-a-half-43 minutes. The cost of this mission is 978 crores. After a technical disruption a week ago the launch of Chandrayaan-2 was stopped. Scientists of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) had stopped it at 1.55 pm after the announcement from Mission Control Room 56 minutes 24 seconds before the launch of the mission on 15 July. Many veteran scientists also praised ISRO for this step. They said that taking action in a hurry could lead to a bigger accident. Three days earlier it was announced the new date for launch was announced. ISRO announced that counting of 20 hours for counting began for launch on Sunday evening at six o'clock 43 minutes.
